한영수교 150주년 기념 공연 & 16K 모션그래픽 프로젝션
한영수교 150주년을 기념하여, 한국관광공사의 초청으로 밴드 MUTO가 런던 OUTERNET에서 특별 공연을 진행하였습니다.
셰익스피어의 소네트 중 가장 유명한 Sonnet 18 (“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?”)을 박우재가 거문고로 연주하였고, 이에 맞춰 한글과 영문이 결합된 16K 해상도 모션그래픽을 제작하였습니다.
OUTERNET의 공간은 동·서·남·북 사면과 천장까지 LED로 구성된 몰입형 구조로, 5면의 디스플레이가 하나의 영상처럼 연결되도록 시뮬레이션을 기반으로 사전 설계 및 편집이 이루어졌습니다.
대형 한글과 영문 텍스트가 음악과 함께 흘러가며, 한영 양국의 문화적 교류와 우정을 축하하는 메시지를 전달합니다.
특히, 이번 퍼포먼스는 OUTERNET 1층의 오픈 공간에서 진행된 최초의 라이브 공연으로 기록되었으며, 관객에게 압도적인 몰입 경험을 선사했습니다.

A 16K Motion Graphic Performance Celebrating 150 Years of Korea–UK Relations
Invited by the Korea Tourism Organization to commemorate the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and the United Kingdom, Korean band MUTO performed a special live set at OUTERNET LONDON—one of the world’s most advanced immersive media venues.
The performance featured a reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18 (“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?”), played on the traditional Korean instrument Geomungo by Park Woo-jae.
A custom-made 16K resolution motion graphic, combining Hangul and English typography, accompanied the live performance, visually bridging the two cultures.
The venue’s LED structure—fully surrounding the audience on four walls and the ceiling—required a precise simulation and editing workflow to create the illusion of a unified, continuous screen across all five surfaces.
The resulting experience immersed viewers in a poetic visual journey that celebrated cultural dialogue through language, sound, and light.
Notably, MUTO became the first artist ever to perform live in OUTERNET’s ground floor open space since its public opening.
